Flip This Space   Designing   Experiences......

Project  Based  Learning  2018

OHS.. "Flip This Space" is a Project Based Learning (often referred to as PBL) opportunity through which students will design a public space during a J-Term experience. The objective is for students to learn "the ropes" of city development through hands-on project based learning. Students will collaborate with city leaders and local experts to design and develop a city park which will house four time capsules in honor of Milford's recent Quasquicentennial and commemorate our city's rich history.
Our goal is to design real life experiences through the construction of a commemorative legacy for citizens and visitors to enjoy for years to come.

Designing and Creating  The  Legacy.....

A   lasting   journey......

The story unfolds.... Our PBL journey began on January 8th with the presentation of the challenge given by Mr. Tim Kinnetz.  During this experience, students will  meet with Milford City Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission. Later throughout the two weeks, students will meet and work with local experts Adam Van Gorp, Mark Steffes and BJ Fergusen. Read about these amazing experts on the "Our Story" page. Stay tuned for updates, new images and video footage as we traverse through this designing process and our students are given the keys to create...... We will need your input and support.
Our 2018 PBL journey is only beginning but we look forward to sharing our story  .... a Project Based Learning experience that will tell the story of 12 young men and women who set out to create something incredible...a story they will continue to tell for years to come. To learn more about our story, check out the "Our Story" link listed above and follow our progress in the "Journal" link also listed above.
